F.U.Otuoke 7th Matriculation Highlights
Matriculating students taking their matriculation oath |
It was all glitz and glamour on 10th March, 2018 in Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa State as we held our 7th matriculation ceremony.
The event started a bit behind schedule due to the rainy weather but the heavens decided to smile down on us and the Sun came out to join us welcome the freshers. To crown it all, the wife of the VC for the first time was around to grace the occasion.

The Vice Chancellor Prof. Seth Accra Jaja in his opening welcomed the parents, guardians, the students as well as well-wishers. HE adviced the students to be of good behaviours and shun all social vices as they pursue their academic goals in Federal University Otuoke.
He went further to notify everyone present that the carrying strength of the university has increased from 2500 that were admitted last year to 3100 this year.
Highlights of the event were the presentation of awards of excellence to the best student from each faculty, presentation of scholarship awards to two (2) physically challenged students and the VC's award of scholarship to a member of the traditional dance troop that thrilled the audience during the ceremony. The little girl was granted scholarship from her current academic level (JSS1) to her university level in any university of her choice.
