4 New Universities To Be Established In Nigeria – Minister of Education

The minister of education, Malam Adamu Adamu, said on Tuesday, August 1, that three of four new universities to be built by the federal government were for the Army, Navy and Maritime. According to Adamu, the projects were kicking off soon.

FUO Campus Gist reported that the announcement was made at the Progressive Governors Forum on Policy Synergy held in Birnin Kebbi.


He also explained that the setting up of the universities was in line with the policy of the present administration to boost education in all spheres.

However, he said that the administration needed N4.2 trillion to fund the country’s education sector, and appealed to state governments to pay their counterpart funds to access their funds.
