How To Get to Federal University Otuoke

Getting to Federal University Otuoke is not difficult.

Located in the heart of the Nigerian oil-rich Niger-Delta region of Nigeria, the University, which is 21 kilometres south of the state capital of Yenagoa and 120 kilometres west of the famous seaport of Port Harcourt (in neighbouring Rivers State), occupies an expanse of 200 hectares (494 acres) in the Ogbia Local Government town of Otuoke.

Ok enough of the big grammar and google map direction thing, let's come down to manual direction, we still de Naija ;)

Now no matter where you are coming from, Bayelsa state has only one entrace (Except for people coming in from Delta that may ply the new Igbogene road) but still every body will meet at the same place.

So once you enter Bayelsa state from wherever you are coming from, take note of the followings ;)

The first place to look out for is a junction called Tombia roundabout (it is the first roundabout you will see). It is a very busy place with market all around it. It also has a water fountain at the center (no worry the water don spoil) and also slightly before it you will see Agofure Motors Park by your right hand side.

Once you cross this roundabout, you are about 10 minutes to your "last bus stop" if actually it is FUO you are coming to.

After Tombia Roundabout, you will alight at Opolo junction (this junction is the first traffic light you will see in Bayelsa and it is by your left)

When you drop, cross over to other side of the road (which is where the traffic light is) then you will get direct vehicle to Federal University Otuoke from that place.

While on transit, do well to take not of the road signs and markings, it will also help you to know exactly where you are.

SUMMARY

1. From anywhere you are coming, stop at Opolo Junction (AKA Opolo Market)
2. Cross over to the other side of the road and enter Vehicle going to Otuoke direct (#300 only)
3. Stop at School gate (which is most times the last bus stop)
