Press Release By FUO Student Union Caretaker Committee

Great F.U.O. students!!! Great.

It is with great pleasure as we congratulate all students of this great institution for their successful completion of the second semester exams and thus bringing to an end the 2017/2018 academic session. Together we have conquered. Once again congratulations.

Pls, all students of Federal university otuoke should be informed of the following:

1) it came to our notice (students' caretaker committee) that some of our students had confrontation some staff of the university. We are using this medium to appeal to students to always draw the attention of the SUG caretaker committee before taking any drastic action to enable us be in a better position to defend you were necessary.

2) Our attention was also drawn to a recent development on campus where legitimate associations such as: (ethnic, departmental & faculty groups) give awards to students for either good conduct or performance and thereafter, groups of students will confront the awardees that they (the awardees) ought to have gotten clearance from them before contesting or after emerging winners. From henceforth, such students if apprehended will be handed over to the school security team.

3) We (caretaker committee, SUG) will also like to appeal to all students to immediately draw our attention to any ICT error arising from results, course registration issues, for prompt action through your faculty/departmental heads.

It has also come to our notice that exam malpractice is on the rise in examination halls, particularly the use of mobile/smart phones during exam sessions. Hence, we advice that students be honourable and desist from such acts as they are now highly punishable here in F.U.O.

Lastly, while we wish all students a joyous holiday, we also admonish all students to return with their school fees and from henceforth take consciousness of course registration as soon as we return back on campus for another academic session as the penalty for defaulting maybe dastardly.
